It's so easy a caveman can do it!
3/4 pound unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar, plus extra for sprinkling
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (extract of choice)
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Form the mixture into a ball and knead until smooth.
Create you cookie design and bake in the oven on 325*F for 18-25 minutes. I use a cookie cutter hand machine to get these amazing designs. You can find them online for $15 and up. Bring them to room temperature and enjoy! If you want to mix it up you can add lemon zest, orange zest, pistachios, nuts or even dip them in chocolate... etc.. get creative!
